British Petroleum
A fuel delivery web application that digitised delivery dockets and proof of delivery across Australia.
PROBLEM
Paper fuel delivery dockets left drivers re-entering data, terminals blind to delivery status, customers and BP chasing missing or disputed deliveries.
Solution
A mobile web application replacing paper fuel dockets, enabling drivers to capture deliveries in-field and giving terminals and customers real-time visibility from loading to drop-off.
Impact
One carrier ran completely paperless within eight weeks of pilot launch leading to roll-out across the country and international markets.
Docket turnaround reduced from ~5 days to ~2.5 days.
Finance closed invoicing 2 days earlier due to faster, accurate dockets.
Missing fields and signature errors reduced, increasing accuracy.

End-to-end delivery clarity
Drivers can see what fuel they’re carrying, where it’s going, and what needs to be delivered before they start.
Fuel stays visible throughout the delivery so nothing is missed. Drop details are captured digitally.
Proof of delivery
Deliveries are confirmed immediately with digital signatures.
At unmanned sites, location capture replaces signatures so there’s still clear proof the delivery happened.
Redirects and exceptions
When plans change, drivers are guided through redirects in the app. Reasons are captured upfront so dispatch and finance can see what happened without follow-up calls or disputes.
Guided decisions that prevent errors
The app guides drivers with clear questions at the right moments, helping them confirm outcomes, handle exceptions, and stay within approved processes without second-guessing.
